After looking at the improvements made to the 10 series hydralic pump suction screen and filter , I wonder if anyone has attempted to upgrade their hundred series to 10 series specs. I have only looked at the hydro models, so I am unsure if it affects all models. More filtration is always better , as I am somewhat uncomfortable with just the suction screen which has already gone through one upgrade. Any input would be greatly appreicated. Thanks

whats the difference in the screen? I actually just cleaned mine today, and dumped the fluid (obviously). Yea, there was junk on it, Im quite positive its never been cleaned (1530 hours). ....

Ranger350. The PIP (Product improvement plan) on the hundred series was the addition of a top fine mesh screen. This was added due to some people suffering pump damage from contaminants. On the 10 series they have added a spin-on filter under the left side footboard as an extra precaution. This is why I posted , as I want to know if anyone has made the upgrade to their hundred series tractors.

my 4600 has a fine mesh screen in the trans. and a filter under the left floorboard. ....

My 4200 (1998) also has the fine mesh screen and filter as original equipment. ....

On the 42,43, and 4400/4410 machines, the steering has a separate pump but uses the same oil as the hydrostatic pump I believe. ....
